WAYNE Rooney shows that with age comes an interest in politics.

The striker, who was presented with a cake by son Kai as he turned 27 today, has publicly backed Barack Obama in the US presidential race.
The Manchester United star tweeted: “Watched all the presidential debates. If I had to vote would vote Obama.”
His message came hours after he captained his team to a 3-2 win over Braga in the Champions League.

Afterwards he wrote: “Good win tonight after going 2 behind. Such an honour to captain man utd. Looking forward to my bed but can’t sleep. FIFA time.”
But it seems instead of playing the computer game he caught up on the debates instead.
This morning the proud dad got a sweet surprise as his son gave him a huge cake for his birthday.
In a snap Rooney posted on Facebook, the lad, dressed in a red and white striped onesie, sits on the carpet with his dad as he points at the candles.
A massive pole of presents sits in the background of the picture.
And Kai was not the only one to wish Rooney many happy returns.
After getting hundreds of good wishes from fans, he told them: “Thank you to everyone for my birthday messages.”
