N-DUBZ star Fazer is grafting to put his bad lad image in the past.

He has been reinventing himself as a P Diddy-style music figure.

The rapper — who had a harsh upbringing in gang and drug-riddled north London — is now stressing he’s a singer, music producer and clothing range boss.

And he’s not doing too badly.

Fazer — real name Richard Rawson — has written songs for Rihanna’s new album and he is pals with Kate Moss and clothing heiress Chloe Green.

He puts out his debut solo single Killer this week.

Fazer performed the song for the first time last week — at the posh Spencer Hart tailor store in Mayfair, with the gig filmed for music video website VEVO.

Today he opens up about his past, bad boy pal Dappy, Tulisa’s sex tape and the tragedy still haunting him.

LET’S get the Tulisa sex tape out of the way. What do you think of her ex Justin Edwards finally admitting he released it?

We knew it was Justin from the get-go. We think it’s so low for him to do something like that. It’s one of the most degrading things any female could have to deal with.

The way she dealt with it was brilliant. I have to give her props for that, and it was all good.

Do you have any skeletons in your closet? What would you do if an ex released a sex tape of you?

I ain’t scared of my past — let them release my video. I’ll get loads of ratings! I’ll have one leg up and all sorts.

The video for your new single Killer shows you in a straightjacket in a mental asylum. What’s that all about?

Killer is about a “love-killer”. It’s all about make-ups to break-ups and heartbreaks. It’s about a young guy who’s scared of love. Every time someone falls for him he makes an exit, so he becomes a love killer.

Has love driven you mad before?

The mental asylum in the video is like a “love-prison”. It’s saying that being in a relationship can drive you nuts. So I’m in a straightjacket and there you go — crazy Fazer.

Is that a reflection of your life now?

It’s very close to home. It’s the phase I’m going through at the moment.

So you’re not looking for a woman?

My main focus right now is NOT finding a relationship or settling down — it’s about getting together the building blocks for my career and dominating what I need to do in the industry and making a great album.

You’ve been seen out and about with Topshop heiress Chloe Green. Have you been dating?

No way, Jose — I wouldn’t touch that one. I’m single to mingle at the minute.

You’re mates with Kate Moss – have you been partying with her recently?

Nah — I don’t even have time for that. Kate and Nick Grimshaw both wanted me to come to his birthday party this month but I couldn’t go because I was rehearsing and recording in the studio.

I’m working my bum off on the new album so I also missed most of the Olympics and even missed early airplays of my new single.

You did get into Rihanna’s party in February, though. What’s she like?

Rihanna’s normal, man. Everyone assumes she’s an alien because she’s at such a massive global level.

People need to understand she’s a person living a normal life when she’s not doing music. She’s just a normal girl trying to live a normal life.”

And you’re going to be working on her new album, right?

Yeah, a few weeks ago I got approached to do a session to produce some records for Rihanna and we made some great songs.

Now it’s just a waiting game to see if any of them are going to be used. But if they’re not, I’ve got a great saying — “One man’s miss is another man’s hit”. Because we did make some amazing records.

Have you thought of an album title for your solo LP yet?

Nah — but I might call it Fifty Shades Of Faze.

Have you read Fifty Shades Of Grey?

Nah — I refuse to. I think it’s a girls’ thing — for girls who need a man. I should write a book called Fifty Shades Of Faze — girls could do with reading that.

Do you miss Dappy’s madness these days?

Yeah. Now, I look left, I look right and I ain’t got Daps there or Tulisa there to back me up. When we used to go out or into the studio it was magic, and it always will be magic.

Many say N-Dubz will never reform. Do you see much of each other?

We’ll always get together at least once a year for one thing.

What’s that?

It’s for the worst thing that ever happened to us. We’ve never got over Dappy’s dad Byron dying. (Byron Contostavlos — Tulisa’s uncle — died of a heart attack on April 14 2007 and was found dead at home by Dappy.) He managed us for eight years, but he wasn’t like a manager to me — he was more like a father figure. To this day we haven’t properly grieved.

Every April 14, Tulisa and Dappy and me go to down to the cemetery and to the Greek orthodox church where we had the funeral, and we eat at the same Greek restaurant.
